Why go with us

We don't wait for the aurora. We go after it.

The Northern Lights only show up when the sky is clear and the solar activity is right. Every evening we check aurora and cloud forecasts and pick the spot with the best chance, usually 30–50 km from Rovaniemi.

Warm vans, an experienced local guide, a fire in the snow and photos of you under the aurora.

  • Small groups — no crowded coaches
  • Route chosen on the night by live forecasts
  • Photos of you under the aurora included
  • Hot drinks, sausages and cookies by the campfire

FAQ

Good to know

Are the Northern Lights guaranteed?

The aurora is a gift of nature, so no one can promise it. What we do promise is to give it our all: every evening we follow live aurora and cloud forecasts and drive to the spot with the best chance. And even on a quiet night you get a magical evening in the snowy Lapland forest, with a campfire, hot drinks and sausages under the stars.

When is the best time to see the aurora?

The season runs from September to early April. The darkest months, December to February, give the longest nights, while September–October and March are milder.

How cold will it be?

Often −10 °C to −30 °C in winter. Dress in warm winter clothes with several layers. The campfire and hot drinks help you stay warm.

Can children join?

Yes, families are welcome. A child ticket costs €70, or €60 when you book through this website. Child seats are available on request — just mention it when booking.

Do you have vegetarian food? What about allergies?

Yes. Write in the booking form who in your group is vegetarian or vegan, and about any food allergies or gluten-free needs. We buy the food for each tour in advance, so we will bring the right snacks for everyone.

How do I pay?

Booking on this website is free — you pay nothing in advance. You pay on the tour, by card or cash. If you book through this website, you get €10 off for each person in your booking: €90 instead of €100 per adult and €60 instead of €70 per child.

What if the weather is bad?

Lapland weather changes fast, and the clouds can open in a few minutes. That's why we go out in almost any weather and choose the route on the night, following the clearest sky. Once the tour has started, it is not refunded because of weather or a quiet sky. If you are not sure about your date, write to us on WhatsApp before booking and we'll gladly help you choose the best night.

What if you cancel the tour?

We only cancel when the weather makes the trip unsafe, and we let you know as early as we can. You pay nothing in that case, because payment is taken only right before we set off. You can book another night with us, or plan your evening however you like.
